MILANO (ITALPRESS) – Sono circa 250.000 in Italia e 7 milioni nel mondo le persone che convivono con malattie infiammatorie croniche intestinali, indicate dalla sigla MICI. La loro incidenza è stimata intorno a 10-15 nuovi casi su 100.000 abitanti all’anno. Negli ultimi 10 anni, le diagnosi di nuovi casi di MICI e il numero di pazienti sono aumentate di circa 20 volte, con un trend che si stima in ulteriore crescita in futuro. Ne ha parlato Silvio Danese, direttore dell’Unità di Gastroenterologia ed Endoscopia Digestiva dell’IRCCS Ospedale San Raffaele, intervistato da Marco Klinger, per Medicina Top, format tv dell’agenzia di stampa Italpress.
